Comment: I purchased this FHA/VA approved home 30 years ago. I have had the house jacked up and supposedly leveled about 10-15 years. The addition has cracked the whole totally seperated from the house. The room has dropped down approximately one inch. Previously when I repaired it the 2nd time, termites had done extensive damage and traveled throughout the house. Orkin wouldn't warranty the work unless I removed all the parquet floors in the entire house at great expense...which I did. Since then the house has cracked off and dropped down the original amount again, thusly ruining the ceramic tile which I installed throughout the house. HELP! Can't trust the house levelers. I need a private contracted engineer to oversee this project. I called a few, and I was told to get quotes and then get back with them. I have many problems with work that was done by professionals. I am just tired of the problems and unprofessional contractors.
