| Comment: I have a house near a lake. The basement level is near the water level and the front left corner (closest to the lake) appears to sink and rise through out the seasons. It has caused the block to crack and shift in that area along with causing sheetrock to shift on the first floor above. I'm assuming that the footings are not deep enough below frost and that is what is causing the movement. I would also like the contractor to provide a plan to deter any water from this area to prevent future damage once repaired. |
