Comment: There is an area under the stairs to the basement that gets very damp during heavy rains. When just water comes in, it is not excessive and flows to the drain; however, often I have mud forming on the bottom step and on the floor between the stairs and the drain. In the spring and summer when there is a lot of rain, this happens very often and is really difficult to keep clean.

Comment: We think waters been leaking in from the north side of our finished basement. Heavier rain increases chances of moisture. It appears to be from around window well area. Carpet was recently wet and we are wanting to resolve the leaking issue prior to reinstalling the carpet.
