| Comment: The building is two unit condo association. During spring thaw, water accumulates at the back door - the lowest point in the yard, and then drains along the wall into the basement. The threshold is virtually at ground level, so regrading would be challenging. Additionally, there is a mature elm tree in the back yard, and we do not want to damage it. The root system appears to be directly in the path from the door to the alley - the easiest place run a drain. We have already tried inserting water proofing caulk along the wall of the basement. We have also, twice, had someone repour the concreete and relay the limestone back patio, and rewaterproof around the back door. Now there are signs of water damage to the floor directly above where the water comes in. |
