| Comment: Hi John, <br /> <br />My husband and I are about to put an offer in on a house with a slate roof (asphalt full dormer) that has a bathroom fan that is venting into the attic space (small - 3-foot attic on a cape). We would like to add a duct that runs to the asphalt dormer roof and also add a vent in that location. (This is also called heat/energy recovery ventilation I think) This will change out air in the basement and bring fresh tempered air in - many times a day - either timer or thermostat controlled. Installation of the heat exchanger and necessary piping/duct work for the exhaust and the intake. Need certified mechanical engineers - may need to pull a mechanical permit from the city. |
