Comment: My house was built in 2006. I'm military and have been gone most of 08 and all of 09. I came home to find my crawlspace flooded. From the time I moved into my home I have had issues and adressed grading concearns with my builder. The back and side of my house from what I have measured don't even meet the minimum grade for code. I've got a sump pump temporarily installed in the crawlspace until I can get it dry enough to properly do the job. The problem I don't have the equipment or knowledge to do is to fix my poor grading issue. I've even put a temp sump in the ground behind my house to pump pooling water away from the house. I literally had water pooring into the crawlspace opening. I do have all downspouts draining well away from the house. I need a permanant solution. I'm affraid to hear the cost but I have to do something. If I have to take my builder to litigation I will need documentation of grading inadequacies.
