| Comment: Our 1910 home has a garage that opens right at the street. Just inside the garage is a hand operated pump. Just ouside the garage by the curb of the street is a 3" pipe with a locked cap. Extending up along the side af the g arage is a 1" pipe with an upside down "u" at the top. My guess is that there is a tank for gasoline under the street and garage and that I am seeing the filler cap, vent, and pump out. I know it hasn't been used for the 30 years we've owned the house. We are ready to sell, and our prospective buyer wants this situation clarified and solved. |
