| Comment: I wanted to get roundabout quotes for a project that is far into the future so that I know what I need to do it. My current kitchen sits atop a "crawlspace" that isn't really a crawlspace. I suspect that a previous homeowner and his buddies added it while drunk, without permits. I would like to expand my basement to include a room beneath my kitchen and also expand the size of my kitchen and actually put it back together correctly. At the same time it would make sense to go ahead and lower the basement floor in one area so that I can have a very nice finished, livable space down there. As part of the package I will also be expanding the foundation and moving (and replacing) the rear basement entrance to the side of the house and waterproofing the entire foundation with membranes, drains, or whatever makes the most sense.
