Comment: We have a 12K whole house Briggs & Straton generator.  It appears that the charging system is not working. When the generator initially stopped, during a power outage, the generator worked for a while and then stopped.  The system control panel indicated low battery voltage.  I connected a jump-start battery and it worked for about and hour and then the generator stopped again.  I then connected an RV 12V barrety, which started the generator again.  It worked for a short while (1/2 hour) and then the power outage was restored.  Subsequently, I disconnetd the battery and tested the generator charging system, as follows: 15a fuse left in, system switch on auto, volt meter tester set on DC 200v, attached positive and negative leads to generator's positive & negative leads.  The volt meter indicated no voltage output from the generator.  I don't know if my diagnosis of a bag charing system is correct.  I'm in need of a technicia
