| Comment: Our house was built in 1948, and the plaster walls, ceiling, and crown molding in the living room and hallway are very heavily textured with a very pronounced, popcorn-like finish. On the ceiling, we can see the seams where the boards under the plaster meet. There are also three areas above doorways where there are visible cracks and one area in the corner of the room where the plaster coating is separating from the wall. <br /> <br />We'd like to have the imperfections repaired and the overall plaster finish to be smooth or somewhat smooth. <br /> <br />The living room measures approx. 15x21-feet (plus an enclosed entryway area and a bay window along one wall), and the hallway measures approx. 11.5x3-feet (with three doorways and a linen closet door). <br /> <br />We'd like to discuss your suggestions for solving these problems and an estimate. |
