Comment: I`m replaceing the old prehung door standard 9 lite 32" wide my problem is I need to raise the door 2 to 3" when they aspalted my driveway and when they did that they scraped below the door but when it was finished they made the driveway above the door jam they had to radious the driveway into the jam front and from both sides and when it rains the water rolls into the door jam down the basement wall luckily I have a drain down there that is why I have to raise it I never done this but my idea is cutting about six inches in front of the door the depth of the aspalt making a concrete slab under the door plus trying to make it even or slightly above the drive way so the water will not run to the door i need suggestion on what and how i should do it I was told if i come out in front of door I will have a frost problem Help!!! I have a expensive door Im putting on before I asphlted I had a screen door after they did the driveway I could not get a screen door on it eithe
