| Comment: We noticed water on our garage floor. After investigating looked like the drywall behind the water heater was damp and that the bamboo flooring on the otherside of the wall was warping and showed signs of water probably underneath. Called a plumber and they found a copper pipe that had sprung a leak. The plumber fixed the pipe so the source of the leak has been fixed. The insulation in the wall I'm sure needs to be replaced and the drywall where the plumber accessed the wall needs to be repaired. I also need to have the subfloor and hardwood flooring inspected to see what kind of damage may have occured. We have insurance but need to assess what kind of damage there is before deciding on a claim. |
