| Comment: We are planning to have my brother move in with us--the timeframe is flexible, although we are planning for sooner, rather than later. He has a physical disability which requires the use of a motorized wheelchair. He is able to maneuver a manual wheelchair, too. We will need to build an accessiblity ramp to either (both?) the front or back door which are about 2-3 feet above ground level. We will also need to make a bedroom accessible (widen the doorway) and fully remodel a bathroom to include a roll-in shower, accessible toilet and sink, and widened doorway. Some of these items are required prior to move-in, and others can wait. We are interested in participating in the remodeling process to reduce the cost--we are experienced in home repairs. |
