| Comment: I have a small ranch home on a double lot with very little existing landscaping. I would like to develop a landscaping plan that I can implement over the next few years for the entire lot. I want low maintenance design using trees/shrubs/plants that are native and well suited to the zone. I just don't know where to begin. My fiance is staunchly against hiring a professional landscape designer, but I know what a difference having a professional design can make to the end result... The yard is basically flat, with the house situated on one of the two lots, leaving the empty lot, a corner lot, just a big piece of grass that needs to be mowed. I think it's ugly and needs some character. |
