| Comment: I have a new kitchen island which requires a granite countertop. I am looking at Antique Brown granite and the size of the island countertop is 95" by 77". I know this will have a seam, but it will have a varied height at 95" and 63" and then 95" and 14" for the overhang. I will need a cooktop and bar sink cutout on the island. I also need the same material countertop on the wall cabinets which is 170" long and 27" deep, with a 33" sink cut out. I would like simple eased edging, however a built up edge on the island. | Comment: Our home was built in 1968 and has an old vinyl top. Would like to find a granite or some type of stone solution, perhaps a granite remnant something that won't cost a lot. I've been watching HGTV and they actually did a kitchen with granite remnants for under $1000. Don't know what the possibility for our kitchen would be we do'e have a lot of counter top and do not have a cooktop. Our range actually has it's own space. the sink in the kitchen is kitty cornered. The dishwasher sits aside of it with a butcher block over that. |
