| Comment: I may be making a misinquiry, but hope, at the very least, to be pointed in the right direction. I like in the Montebello condominium and recently attempted a paint job upgrade to the place, beginning with the ceiling. (it's white didn't match ours.) Never having encountered popcorn ceiling before, we didn't know that the paint would effectively remove the material which began peeling off due just to gravity. Furthering our error, we removed the rest in this one consecutive section (350 rough square feet) of ceiling (there's popcorn intact in other rooms we did not start yet.) Upon doing this we discovered that the texture of the material UNDER (or I suppose, above) the popcorn is not meant for human eyes (small holes, patchy work, grooves, rough spots, etc)... cleaning the ceiling (of dust) and starting a coat of paint didn't do anything to improve what we were left with... SO... at this point, I'm looking for advice and estimates on either restoring a fresh installation of popco |

Comment: We're moving into a one-bedroom condo (612 sq. ft.) next week and need to remove popcorn ceiling throughout. The drywall onto which it has been applied has been cut in places, so it's probably just easiest to replace the drywall ceiling altogether. Please provide us one quote for removing the popcorn ceiling from the existing ceiling and another quote for simply putting up a new drywall ceiling.
We had the ceiling tested for asbestos, and there is none. We can provide the test results.
We are also interested in painting the living room/dining room. Please let us know if you could do this, too.
