| Comment: The front part of the chimney has approximately 12-18 loose bricks at the top. Bricks are very loose at the front, but the other three sides appear solid. Another mason told me that the bricks could be tuckpointed and reinstalled. 2 or 3 have fallen and would have to be replaced, but he said it was a fairly simple job, and thought he could do it in about 1 day. I have a strap encircling the loose bricks so they can't fall, and a tarp to cover it until I get it repaired. I have a couple of pictures of it, but if someone has to come and see it, I could take off the tarp and have a ladder to get on the roof so it could be looked at. |
