| Comment: This is a sorority house that was built in the 1920's and is approximately 16,500 square feet in size. Most of the existing mortar has deteriorated to the point of allowing moisture to enter the building in several areas.

Estimates need to include:

1. Grinding out all joints in masonry on all sides of the building.
2. Remove and replace broken brick as needed (matching brick as close as possible.
3. Repoint brick with portland, lime and sand mix. Tint mortar to match existing color.
4. Acid wash brick after pointing in new mortar.

This project will take place over the summer when the house is closed and will need to be completed in a timeframe of approximately fifty (50) days. |

| Comment: I bought the house about a year ago, and the retaining wall was leaning relatively in the correct direction, however knew that I would need to replace it. However, looking at it over the past few months has started to lean and now leans 2-3 degrees in incorrect direction with the most recent set of frost. Also, now starting to have a bow in center. Since it is 3 feet from garage wall, it holds the dirt back from the foundation from the neighbors yard. It is about 40-50 feet in length, 5 ft high with I assume interlocking blocks. Given other things I have found, I doubt that it has gravel in fill, and know that there is no drainage. Thank you for your attention. |
