Comment: Apopka, FL-- Looking for an experienced mason/decorative concrete stone layer who has done many precast concrete retaining walls for homeowners. Someone who is an expert in building the proper foundation for the retaining wall(thru gravel, paver stone, etc)and knowledgeable about putting in the proper drainage needed for a 15 ft. retaining wall (3-4 blocks high) and has the proper tools for the job- tamper,levels, chisels, etc.
Homeowner wants to firm up a small frontyard that has sandy riverbed soil and slopes. Currently lose grass fertilizer down the small slope. Using Home Depot concrete 12 inch decorative locking pavers stacked three or four high (if 4 high, 1 block will be buried underground). Wall will be 14 or 15 ft. long. Have most materials
on site (blocks,etc). Just picked up. Need adaquate drainage, gravel and landscape cover behind the wall and proper foundation of gravel, etc. to make sure the retaining wall has a good foundation. |
