| Comment: Residence is on sloping property with lots of Tennessee clay. House is 30 years old. Wall cracking is obvious. I understand the during construction 31 years ago that the high side foundation wall collapsed, was repaired and construction was then completed. Foundation listing was attempted some years ago, but the foundation continues to "move". I am looking for an engineering assessment of how best to control foundation movement before hiring a contractor. The long range purpose to to maintain the sale value of the property in a very good neighborhood. |
