Comment: We have received preliminary approval to replace and upgrade the canvas roof over our 12' by 25' patio to aluminum from the Indigo Run ARB. I will be doing the work my self and have already obtained an estimate for the cost of the roofing material at about twelve hundred dollars. This does not include lumber and other materials which will be necessary to complete the project. The ARB has indicated that it will require a set of building plans which would also be required by the town construction department. The present canvas roof is supported by pipe trusses at five foot centers. Also so as to conform with the roofing specs the roof will have to be raised two to three inches at the house so as to achieve the proper pitch.
