Comments from Trek Inspection Services, Inc.
I stopped filling the tubs to check for drainage/overflow about 3 years ago, because it is too easy to loose track of the tub, and if it does overflow, it causes damage, and it is expensive. This item is not in my pre-inspection agreement form, nor is it mentioned on my website. I do mention in all reports that the tub drain is not tested, but should be by the new home owner, even though it is not required to work by code.
