"StayDry is a very experienced and ethical company. They have successfully repaired two leaks in our basement with their injection process. They were very professional and responsive to our needs. They also stand behind their work. I also wanted a full basement assessment thinking I had larger issues than the two leaks that we had so far. Dave, the owner, came out to do a professional inspection. I was ready to spend some money to solve my issues. However, he was very honest and said I donâ t think you have a basement issue. He did point out some air flow issues, which led to the drafts in my basement. I was thinking the air was coming from my basement walls and needed to be seal but he suggested better insulation and told me how to do it myself even though itâ s a service they offer. He was willing to do the work but his primary goal was to get the job done correctly at the most affordable price to me. He really wants the best outcome for his customers even if that means he is not making money. He truly understands the concept of a long-term relationship rather than making a quick sell. Dave and his company are amazing. If you have a water leaking issue, he will take care of it. If you donâ t have an issue, he will be very upfront and honest with you. Either way you will be very well served with StayDry basements. I highly recommend them. "

We were able to work out a temporary solution until the technician could repair the switch. Once the tech got to our house for repair, he was very courteous and professional. "In less than two years the main pump went out which was common, but the alarm kept going off on the pump spy battery backup. Starting at 9 p.m. I kept calling the emergency 24 HR number and the answering service kept saying somebody would call and nobody ever did. All night long the alarm was beeping and I had to stay up all night in the cold basement resetting it every 7 minutes. I had to have another company put a pump in for full price because Stay Dry manager was so rude to me. Six months later a very heavy rain poured water in and the basement flooded. I found out the pipe on the floor was not working and never had been because it was improperly installed uphill to the crock. Perry was the foreman on the job. He was also supposedly the night call person. Now the southwest corner wall has black mold in an 8-foot area on both sides, and they are telling me to scrub it and clean it with bleach myself and then paint it. I just want people to know that you will get no service if you have an emergency and if you just need a quick phone call to tell you how to reset an alarm or open the candy cane pipe to relieve water forget it. You will have a totally flooded basement with property damage for sure. "

"Randy came and did an excellent job. I watched him and he explained each procedure. Very courteous and said if for any reason it continued to leak (which he was very adamant that it would not) they would be out to fix whatever needed to be fixed. We would highly recommend this company. Wayne, the sales person, also was very informative. He was much more realistic in his assessment of our problem than the others. We had other companies come out and they wanted to practically tear our basement apart and charge us an arm or a leg to do so."

"I had StayDry install their waterproofing system back in 2008. Haven't had any issues with water since. However, the City of Lansing noticed that a permit wasn't pulled for their work. I've spent the last few months attempting to get StayDry to issue a permit. With the advice of a lawyer I refused the sign a hastily written 'contract' that was printed up in 10 minutes that would absolve them of any liability. When I refused to sign they refused to pull a permit for the work they did. I'm now working with the City of Lansing to get this fixed, but it'll likely cost me hundreds of dollars to make it legal. The inspectors noted that this was not the first issue they've seen with StayDry. I'm worried if they cut corners on getting a permit what other corners they may have cut. Buyer beware. "

"The professional most qualified was sent on the recovery team. I state this because he had a different plan than what was stated on the contract. His years of experience on the job gave him insights that the original missed. However, I do have a dry basement, and even though it might have been done somewhat differently due to the high water table in my area, I remain dry for the first time ever. I appreciate all the effort of the original team, several of whom were new to the job. They explained that training was on site, and it was a flood situation in June. This was not an easy job, and much creativity was involved to secure a dry basement. I just looked at my first PUMP SPY online report: this is amazing and affords peace of mind. This was a learning experience for me!"

"Hired in 2015. In April 2017, there was water in my basement. Had company come out and they tore my wall apart to tell me I needed a crack injection. Told me warranty did not cover this. I asked to speak with owner. Dave had a condescending attitude from the moment he picked up the phone. He claimed that I was one of those customers and I have given his staff the runaround and they have been at my beckon call. I asked him to fix the crack for free. I explained to him that the system put in because of Julius and Perry, was supposed to be the remedy for the crack leaking water. He told me there was no way that they could have known this system would fix the water coming in. That was the whole reason I had the company come to my house in the first place. I told him that I was explained to me, that the water would come in through the crack, travel down behind the grey material sticking up from my floor, and then run into the pipes and travel to my sump pump. He told me I had no documentation or proof that this was said that I said what the system would do. I told him that was the whole reason I had StayDry come out, to diagnose my water issue and fix it. I told him he misdiagnosed it and should have mentioned the possibility of needing a crack injection in the first place. He told me he cannot see through walls so I asked him why they did not cut the drywall to find out what solution was best for me. He said they visit so many houses, what are they supposed to do, cut out everyones drywall? I said yes, maybe that would help get people solutions that worked. I could have saved around $6,500 and Im sure other people as well. I told him now they've torn my drywall off twice and it is still not fixed. He was very conscious to mention that he himself was not out there and my house and did not tell me anything. I told him I understood and that Julius and Perry were the ones. They knew my problem and told me this was the solution. I told him if they did not know this was the solution, they should have dug deeper into the problem to find out a solution. He told me I was being threatening and yelling at him, even though I was in my office cubicle the entire time and would never raise my voice or yell at work. He told me that he wasnt going to let me slap him around over the phone anymore and next time we talk it needs to be face to face. I would have to come to the office. He told me he had a 1pm appointment. I asked him when his next appt was. He told me to go ahead and sue him and that I can cry because he does not care. I told him I know he does not care. He then said he gets 1,000s of these calls so I asked, thousands? Because you have 1,000s of complaints? He then hung up on me. I found out they never pulled a permit to perform the work in 2015. A week after Dave hung up on me, with no further communication, on 4/21/17, I received a call from Tony. He stated that the owner had given him permission to fill the crack for free. When I asked if there was go"

"The sales guy Robert was very knowledgeable about older homes, typical water problems/behavior, and drainage systems/options. He walked me through a diagram and was available for follow up calls/questions. The crack that was fixed was a quick probably 30 minute thing so you are paying for the material and expertise, but I feel like it was worth it. Hasn't been a long time since we had the crack injected but there hasn't been signs of leaking yet. Lifetime warranty is nice."

"They didn't rebuild the bottom step to my basement as was promised by the salesperson. The step had to be removed to complete the job, but they promised to fix it afterwards. Not a major issue, but it made me question their integrity a bit. The drain material they installed against my wall was also a bit wavy in areas. I feel that they could've done a better job with that. The job also took a day longer than promised. Other than that, it performs as advertised."
