"Paid $750 deposit on signed proposal to have door hardware replaced. Work was to be performed 12/17 8:30 a.m. On 12/16 after 5:00 p.m. Rick Hammell called and gave conflicting stories about increased costs and unavailable products. Each time I asked questions or offered solutions to resolve issues, his story changed. Numerous times he said he wanted to come over that evening to show me invoices, to show me products, etc. As I thought this was not only unnecessary but inappropriate as well, I cancelled the service. I then called him back and asked him to mail a refund check for the $750. Again, he asked to bring the check to me that evening. I told him emphatically that I expected the check to be mailed. I filed a complaint with the BBB and have still not received my refund. Please remove this company from you list. "

I came out to this customer and gave her a proposal at her house. She was persistent on receiving a quick quote. Within 10 minutes I estimated replacing 6 locks on 4 doors. She mentioned that she has moved into her home and have not change the locks and considered this as a rush. I check my schedule and schedule her to come back out within 48 hours. The next day I did my research to purchase the locks she requested. One of the locks was a old mortise lock that was discontinued. I called her after she got off work around 5 p.m. prior to coming out to her house and explain to her that there is a difference in cost because of the discontinued and had the paper work to show her the I was being transparent. She couldn't understand what I was saying and kept asking questions and with further reiteration it seems like I was confusing her and she immediately got defensive and said I don't understand I want to cancel the job. At that point, I mention to her I have every thing else except the mortise lock for to start tomorrow morning. Speaking very loud, she said that she still wanted to cancel and demanding her money back and threatened to sue and make a complaint to the BBB. I mention to her I will be gladly to drop it off to her if that's what she wants, she demanded it to be mailed to her. The very next day I check with my bank to make sure her check has cleared seeing I just deposited that previous day. I had to wait a few days more for it to clear and I gave her a full $750 refund check. I hand deliver it to her mailbox with photos as proof. I chose to hand deliver it because of the Christmas mail rush I did not want to be a delayed. I believe this was a very over exaggerated complaint with no bias. It was a simple of me telling her that the product that she wanted was not available anymore because it was discontinued. I offer her another option, witch did cost a little bit more. When she said that she wanted to cancel I make every attempt and successfully give her her refund back.

Over price? I Charged you $200 for cutting down 2 doors @ $40 each, install 4 blinds @ $25 each and a $20 H/A lead charge. That is a fair market price? and not overcharged! Slow...I was only there for a total of 1 1/2 hrs. I had a drop cloth and cleaned up behind myself. The blinds could be hung either way. I asked you if you're happy and satisfied. You replyed "Yes" If I felt like I did not give you 100%, I wouldn't even ask you to give me a rating. I would rather offer you a 110% refund of your money, because a 1 Star rating goes against all what I have worked so hard for. My reputation is well far more valued then the service rendered.

"The fans could not be repaired. Rick found replacements on Tuesday and installed them on Thursday. He and Paul were prompt, helpful, and courteous, and cleaned up after the project. I could not have been more pleased. He also replaced a faulty light fixture under the counter in the kitchen. The total cost included all parts, fans, and labor. He brought everything he needed-I did not have to shop. I felt it was more than fair. I went on line and could not find these samll fans at all!"
