First and foremost, change the filters. No matter what your system, no matter if it's during the winter or the summer, spring or fall, make certain that you have a clean filter. They are incredibly cheap, and once you change it the first time, it will be a snap each time after.
Don't be fooled, these filters are not designed to catch every allergen and dust bunny floating into your HVAC system. They simply catch as much as they can.
